  I passed out at Mantra Mooloolaba sat 18 nov.and was transferred by a wonderful ambo crew to the Public then to private hospital.All the staff were fantastic.I had 30 episodes during the stay at Mantra and 2 in each hospital enduring up to 20 seconds without a pulse twice.A pacemaker was inserted by a Sri Lankan doctor and life is getting back to normal.Very fortunate to have this happen where it did.Thank you to all involved .

  Incredibly inefficient booking IT and phone system. Multiple false bookings, no call backs, huge waits 40 mins + . Staff hang up. They are hiding system failures. Stressed out staff. Absolute disgrace and I was an RN so I know a bit. Also so much money was spent on what the place looks like meanwhile signage about how to get there is woeful, it was not budgeted for. People around Nambour have been left with a long difficult route to get there and there is no assistance for them re transport. Comlink has had its budget cut by Govt. Govts are quite simply populated by untrustworthy wasteful idiots who think they are special.

  Its a big machine that is still to find its natural rhythm. So far I have been impressed, and can imagine it will only get better.

  If you get a choice go to Buderim private. We found ward staff very unhelpful we arrived around 8:15pm when our very ill daughter was transferred there. We were totally shocked to be spoken to like children by the authoritarian staff member who told us we had to leave after 5 mins as visiting time was over. It definitely was not a great start. The next day she went to surgery and we had to wait 6 hours. It would have been so much less stressful if we had up to date info. Like the electronic boards most private hospitals have. Very disappointed with this hospital.

  My daughter had the misfortune of having an operation in this hospital. The communication from staff was nonexistent. Staff were unfriendly, uncaring and unhelpful. The only saving grace was the quality surgeon. If you have the choice go to Buderim.
