  I've got an end of year trip to Canada coming up and I wasn't sure what kind of gear I would need for being out and about in the snow, not just for skiing/snowboarding. The manager Dan took the time to explain a lot of the different types of gear to me and helped me get the right type for what I need. Really happy for the help Dan! Thanks.

  Disgusting customer service! There were 2 salespeople and 2 customers when I walked in. So I looked at what I wanted to buy, as one was wrapping up the sale, I walked over near him to be served. Instead of acknowledging me he walked away to the other customer and salesman and started chatting and laughing. It was complete arrogance! I ended up buying the sleeping bag online for a lot less than what their sales price was in the store. I was preparing for a trek to Everest base camp, so not some tyre kicker.

  The main issue is Mountain designs stores are expensive compared to online. If you can't wait for something to arrive from an online store or you need to try something on, then its a good place to go. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and you can get a park pretty easily in the complex.

  Special mention to the super friendly Luke who went above and beyond to find a product suited to my very specific needs. I arrived just before they were due to close and found the staff personable, interested in delivering excellent service (despite it being the end of the day & probably just wanting to pack up). In particular, I was most impressed and grateful for their management of my lost gift card - extremely helpful and quick to act. Thanks guys!
